History: The founder of New Age Care draws on a personal and passionate commitment to medical cannabis as a viable alternative medicine for patients in need. His parents were both cancer patients, and in his quest to make them both as comfortable as possible as they dealt with multiple procedures, cannabis proved to provide them with substantial relief. Drawing on this accumulated 12 years as a caregiver, until his mother sadly passed away only just before the first dispensary opened in Illinois. When the state passed medical marijuana legislation, it became his mission to take his time as a caregiver and turn his negative experience into a positive one for many others. Since opening New Age Care in December of 2015, they have treated thousands of patients and collaborated with doctors and other health centers, serving as advocates and defeating the stigma by sharing their knowledge. Staff: Above all, New Age Care champions education and empathetic compassion as a means of helping their patients. Their budtenders and staff are among the best trained in the state, consistently training with cannabis specialists in Colorado, Vancouver, and California, and communicating with chemists and researchers from outside the United States. Each and every member of their team has a background as a caregiver, who have gained great respect and understanding of the value in truly listening to each patient. New Age Care treats each patient as an individual and works to understand their conditions against the backdrop of their lives in order to find a treatment that heals. Menu: On any given day, New Age Care carries an average of forty-five different products, ranging from flowers, concentrates, and edibles as well as a modest range of accessories. Fully compliant with Illinois’ law prohibiting vertical integration, New Age Care receives all their products pre-packaged from one of Illinois’ several high-quality, lab-tested cultivation centers. They are proud to boast the largest supply of CBD products in the state, and they are an entirely non-BHO (butane extracted) dispensary. New Age Care is currently cash only, with a beautiful retail area based in a clean former doctor’s office. They have plentiful parking, with handicap accessibility, and while walk-ins are more typical, they are happy to schedule one-on-one consultations with patients according to their schedule. Service Locations: Based in Mt. Prospect, Illinois is located in the uppermost regions of the Chicago area, right off the 294 highway and on the border of the Camp Pine and Lake Avenue woods. Location Information: Mt. Prospect is one of the northwestern boroughs of the Chicago area, a few miles west of the Lake Michigan shoreline. It lies a few miles north of the Allstate Arena, home of the Wolves of the AHL and host to many concerts and events. Further south is the Chicago O’Hare Airport and the Schiller Woods, with several acres of trails and picnic spots. Driving down the 90 highway will lead to the many offerings in Chicago proper, including the Lincoln Park Zoo, Navy Pier, Grant Park and the Skydeck Chicago. From anywhere on the northern side of Illinois, New Age Care is happy to serve any patient in need.
